Reydon Community Quiz Returns – 2022 November Report

The Reydon Community Quiz 2022/23 commenced on 11 November, there was a full house with ten teams battling it out for the coveted Community Quiz Trophy.

Amanda Humphry took the role of quiz leader for the evening and presented an eclectic quiz with a few challenging questions, including a Mr Men picture round! A great evening ensued with plenty of head scratching, laughter and the odd groan!!

Winners were ‘If Onlys’ with 100 Â― points, with What, no Broadside? And Treacle Tarts in joint second place with 98 Â― points, followed by Nirvana with 93 points .

With another large and well supported raffle, the evening raised ÂĢ390. Quizzers suggested local good causes, and two local charities were chosen to be the recipient this month. The cash raised will be split between the VHC, specifically to support our local food bank, and the Frostenden Parochial Charity.

(The latter supports in a small way, those living in the parish of Frostenden who are experiencing financial difficulties and are unable to access funds from elsewhere, and can be contacted in confidence on 07966541747 or 01502578336)

Thank you to everyone for their generosity, participation and support, especially in these difficult times.

A huge thanks as always to our loyal quizzers, hosts Sole Bay Bowls Club and raffle helpers. Thanks also to Southwold Press for providing paper for the quizzes.

The next quiz will be Jims Christmas Community Quiz on Friday 9 December. Dates for the new year are to follow.

There is sometimes space for another team so do contact me if you are interested in joining us, on ahumphry@talktalk.net.
