RPC: Have Your Say on Local CIL Funds and Christmas Design Competition!

Reydon Parish Council wants to hear from you! Whenever new developments are built locally, developers pay a Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) to East Suffolk Council. Thanks to our Neighbourhood Plan, RPC receives 25% of these funds to invest directly back into our parish.

By law, CIL money must support local infrastructure across three main areas:

  • Physical: Transport links, utilities, and flood defences.

  • Social: Healthcare, education, emergency services, and community or sports halls.

  • Green: Parks, woodlands, play areas, and public open spaces.

While some funds are already allocated, the CIL Survey 2026 will shape future priority projects. Results will be shared at the October 2026 Parish Council meeting, which all residents are welcome to attend.

How to Submit Your Survey (Deadline: End of September 2026):

  • By hand: Drop your completed paper form into the RPC letterbox at Reydon Village Hall.

  • By e-mail: Complete the downloaded form and email it to clerk@reydonvillage.org (or print and post it in the letterbox).

Update on LionLink

Supporting our neighbours and protecting the Heritage Coast

The most recent LionLink newsletter out this week indicates that Walberswick is the preferred landfall site, and that Southwold and Reydon should not be affected by the various new energy infrastructure projects (for the time being at least).

Despite this, the planned public meeting on this Friday will still proceed as Reydon Parish Council believes that it still has a responsibility to work with neighbouring communities to help to protect them from imminent harm, and to protect the Suffolk Heritage Coast, National Landscape and East Suffolk community interest; its concerns as a parish council extend beyond its parish boundaries.

The public meeting will be in Reydon Village Hall on Friday, 21st February at 6.30 pm.

Come and find out more. Ask your questions. Have your say. All welcome.

The agenda can be downloaded here.
